Wtf is up with people sweating their balls off in normal crucible??
Every game I go into today it's 3 thorns and 3 last words on the other team, blink shotguns, arcbolt+firebolts, just in normal control. I get Xur selling tlw contributes and hand cannon bounty today but it takes 1 game to get 15 hand cannon kills like why is literally EVERYONE using crutch weapons. Can't wait for the weapon balance patch.
Edit: Over 200 replies already lol a lot of people in the same realm of frustration.

Refreshing to know that the majority of the replies were in agreement. Can't wait for more variety. It'll be a pleasure going up against all you guardians. ill still play pvp till 2.0 and ill still dominate and be at the top of the leaderboards each game with underpowered weapons, and when the time comes to actually put the try hard pants on in trials ill still go flawless.

I agree with you. I find it fun to use all my weapons and when try yards only use a few op weapons the entire time they ruin the experience. I don't care you can run whatever gun makes you happy but I doubt they can be content using like 3 weapons for match after match after match.

3 RepliesWhen does the 2.0 patch come out? Can't wait to see what people who only rely on thorn and its lingering damage do. And yes I have Thorn and TLW. I consider them weapons that take no skills. CRUTCHES!!!! Thorn : sniping hand cannon with poison. TLW: Hand cannon shotgun with Range it shouldn't have.

2 RepliesI went 8-1 in Trials last night thanks to a combo of thorn, last word, final round sniper, blink shotgun and bolt grenades. I was cursing for an hour at almost going flawless on my brand new character. I can't get too annoyed with the enemy players who cost me the flawless run, you gotta do what you gotta do to win and unfortunately the current meta lends itself to cheap tactics. No one on my team was using blink, bolt grenades, handcannons or snipers. My character had a Red Death (only levelled up to the RD perk), a blue shotgun (it's all I had, got me a few kills though) and a horseshoes/tripod rocket launcher that dropped with those perks from a legendary engram.

I don't use my LW unless I see enough Thorns on the enemy team or I see an actual team against a group of rando's. Aside from that and you can probably bet I'm using Necro, and still get sweaty in a proverbial sense.

46 RepliesThey should make a PVP mode where you can't win, everyone just runs around killing each other, no points for kills. There would be 5 rounds, each round lasts 1 hour. You do not get penalized for leaving a match early. This mode would maybe make the people who want to go to crucible to "have fun" or "just mess around" happy. Then they would stay out of normal crucible, where the objective is TO WIN. I feel this would mitigate if not completely eliminate these "sweaty try-hard" posts. There is no such thing as a crutch weapon, unless you are talking about yourself. The true mark of a scrub is calling someone else one to make yourself feel better about a loss. Make more excuses for your shortcomings, in fact do it in real life, too. Everyone that is better than you at anything is a scrubby, sweaty, try-hard.

1 ReplyIm guilty of using Hawkmoon after I grt thorned and tlw beyond beleif to even out the playing field and take revenge, when I'm trying new weapons to shake things up. Thats why lately I perform the great ritual of dancing on enemy corpse whom uses thorn or tlw. No fuks arw given anymore

Only way I can win is with my Hawkmoon as primary. I've been playing my ass off to learn how to use handcannons. I don't use thorn or TLW because I don't have any experience with it and don't feel like learning how.

Had to play some crucible to finish up my Invective bounty. It threw me into control match and, not surprisingly, the only weapons I heard were Thorn, TLW and shotguns.....nothing else. No pulse rifles, no auto rifles, no snipers.

This. I hate it when people go full tryhard and teabag the entire time. I play normal crucible for fun, not to bring my kd up or whatever. However I do use tlw a lot because I think its fun to use.
