Many of those are still conservative including the presidential candidate Ben Carson who to me is the best current candidate.

Yeah, I need to change "was" to "is" but I'm too lazy.

Edited by U6757109: 8/8/2015 1:21:19 AMNo. Martin Luther King was a democratic-socialist. He openly supported Robert Kennedy and RFK's views were very similar to FDR's.

Edited by Master Chief: 8/8/2015 2:38:40 AMThere is way too much evidence to support that MLK was a Republican. He cut taxes and cut spending. Hell, even his own niece says he was a Conservative. He spoke out against the KKK, who were majority Democrat. He spoke out against the Black Panthers, who were majority Democrat. He may have supported Government assistance, but that doesn't make him a Liberal. JFK was in no way similar to FDR, in fact he was pretty conservative. I doubt you were even alive during that time period. I've spoken to people who were and every single one of them says he was a Conservative. You clearly don't know your history. http://www.heritage.org/research/lecture/the-conservative-virtues-of-dr-martin-luther-king

You are obviously politically inept. Wanting to cut taxes from a top bracket of 91% marginal tax rate is by no means a "Conservative" policy. That's more of a Centrist policy. MLK a Conservative? Lol that's funny. Someone who pushed for better welfare programs, waged a war on poverty, strongly criticized Capitalism, supported Planned Parenthood and vehemently opposed the Vietnam War was "Conservative"? Maybe in your own world. thinkprogress.org/politics/2014/01/20/3177871/Martin-Luther-king-radicalism/
