What if it's not his soul but rather his light???? Maybe his body is in some stasis and he used his light instead of his soul to go in the vex network?

Secrets of Destiny treat those the same since we learned of Rasputin. Light and Soul are the same thing (highly conceptualized, but grounded theory). Good thought path, though. That way of thinking makes good theories.
