  • But if everyone's damage keeps getting higher based on weapon strength, then eventually it won't matter if you have the vog weapons anymore as the regular damage on the new weapons with a higher level guardian will be higher than than the lower damage and oracle perks on the old weapons. Same with ce weapons.

If they end up making better weapons, like they said they are, that cranks out more damage than the old one's then I suppose so. Not like we've heard anything about vault space. So if the new weapons have a higher dps and have aoe then yes. I think you're taking my point wrong. All I'm saying is that if Bungie doesn't want to back off from their stance of killing the Legendary's, then at least give us this one thing. One way to keep everyone's favorite Legendary weapon useful just so we don't lose them. Anyways, I'm not going to break down my atheons epilogue immediately after I get TTK, whenever I find something that can supplant it however, maybe I will, for example. EDIT: I'm firmly on the let us keep our Legendary's side of things, just this might be the next best thing if Bungie doesn't want to let us keep them even after the community outrage.

  • But that would only work in normal, no level advantage crucible after TTK drops. If that's all you play, then it doesn't effect you that much, but it impacts every other game mode greatly.

  • But if say the new weapon damage cap is 415 instead of 365 the each shot from the new weapon will do more damage, so potentially even a very low stat weapon at the new damage cap will cause more damage and could potentially overtake your old one in dps terms. Which almost guarantees that the best new weapons will be better than the old ones.
