As an English major, I'd much rather read that than Milton's Paradise Lost. The latter, despite being pivotal in the development of the English language, is so downright boring, Calvinistic, and gloom.

 • Paradise lost... I've never read that one but I've heard a lot about it. Would it be worth reading for somebody who is a philosophy major?

 • Probably. It is very religious in nature so at the very least it would help you to understand the ideological viewpoints of people at the time. But take into account it is a huge read and a major burden.

 • Jesus, what a useless and pathetic major. You should be ashamed of yourself.

 • Lol, English Major. Pathetic. Go back to college and get a STEM major so you can actually contribute to society.
