The community is still evolving. Maybe your opinion will change after weapon rebalance.

  • When should we expect this balancing you're talking about? It sure as shit isn't the upcoming 2.0.0 they call balancing. That's simply reverting the go-to meta back to ARs. I actually like the switch, but please don't buy into any notion that it'll balance anything.

  • We will. But we've all seen this movie before. HC are the go-to now. They've just nerfed the two most used into the ground. They nerfed AR before 10% and are about to buff them 10% giving them 99% of their earlier power, albeit with a slight range nerf. So, most everybody used AR pre-nerf and everybody complained about lack of balance. And everybody forgets this: HC now are essentially the exact same as they were pre-AR nerf (with a slightly bigger mag) back when nobody used them. This option was there, and few took advantage because AR were a much better option. Bungie is trying hard to make shotguns unusable in PVP, fusions are weaker, scouts still aren't really viable in PVP, pulse is a bit stronger, although still a niche weapon and not widely used. So, most weapon types still won't be viable or as viable as they were, HC will be appreciably weaker than when few used them pre-AR nerf, while AR will be essentially at the same level they were back then. So how can anybody expect this change to do anything other than ensure most players will exclusively use AR?

  • Exactly my point! Been there, done that. There are one or two guns in each class that are heads and shoulders above the rest in that class. If you make one class appreciably stronger than the others, those one or two will always cause people to scream "nerf."
