my thoughts are that destiny's playstation specific content is wrong. i get the need to cater to your investors, but at what cost. you see i think its bad for business. when you reward one group of players simply because they own a playstation is the same as punishing the other group who owns an xbox. never mind that we still get it IN A YEAR. from a customer standpoint as one whom preordered the game with the season pass, i feel cheated. i paid for something only to find that i dont get all of what i paid for when i should. and as a customer i feel like bungie is saying "thank you for playing playstation and F**K YOU for playing xbox, you know cause we hate microsoft and all". when ideally is what bungie should have done was have console specific DLC for both consoles and in one year the combined content became available to ALL players. cause you see. it may be the investors that make the game. but its the customers that BUY the game. and when you insult half of your player base, those customers become much less likely to keep buying your future releases and DLC. maybe Bungie will actually GIVE A S**T and heed my advice in the future. cause as an insulted customer, im not feelin hot on the idea of buying the next game.

Competition benefits all gamers, just not at the same time. Think of it like a seesaw, we all are on it and these deals just make it go faster and higher. Hang on and enjoy the ride. We will get some cool stuff from other games.

In order for Bungie to sell their game with Sony, Sony put exclusives in the contract. Learn a little will you.

6 RepliesXbox have done this with call of duty for years why is it wrong now?

54 RepliesEdited by Semperfi1999: 8/5/2015 12:30:56 PMThis again? Really? How many people are going to complain about the same thing while also showing they have no understanding of capitalism....company investments....or how competition works in the market place. First off......just because you are a gamer you are not entitled to play something just because you want it. You must purchase the correct items to be able to play some games or have some content. Secondly MS started this specific type of competition in COD/Skyrim....and other games. Why don't you go to MS and ask them why they started the gaming industry down this specific road for company competition? Thirdly Sony paid money to Bungie as part of the contract Sony was the only company allowed to advertise Destiny for their system......AND they also got special kick backs from bungie for their gamers as an incentive for those gamers to play Destiny on the PS4 rather than on the Xbone. In reality its the Sony gamers who should be complaining that MS gamers even get access to the content after a year......Sony was very generous to allow that in the contract. Finally....this is all about free market competition. Companies are allowed to compete in ways that attempt to make their product the more desirable one for a certain market. In this case Sony chose Destiny and MS chose Titanfall........Sony ended up making the right choice while Titanfall became Titanfail because most people stopped playing after a short time because the PVP aspect of the game was seriously gimped. Also Bungie did not insult half of their playerbase....incase you have not been paying any attention there are about 2 PS4s for every 1 Xbone. At best your argument would be that they insulted 33% of their playerbase. Your argument is bad and is based on pure emotion and what you "feel entitled to" as a gamer. Well as a gamer I can "feel entitled" to play Halo but if I don't purchase a MS product then I wont be allowed the opportunity to play this game even if I feel entitled as a gamer to play said game. It is fair and proper business practices for a company to try to provide an incentive to purchase their product over their competitors.... if you call a carpet cleaner to come clean your carpet and they offer to also clean the windows and the exterior of your home as an incentive to use them then a customer who chooses to use a competitor CANNOT complain that it is not fair you got this deal from this company because they did not get this same deal from the company they chose. It would also be ridiculous for that customer to then state it is unethical and bad business practice for one company to offer a better deal than the other and in fact both carpet cleaners should be forced to offer the exact same services at the exact same prices. Instead what you should be is a smart consumer. You need to look for and recognize deals when you see them and if you choose to forego said deal then that is a decision that you as a consumer have chosen. TLDR: Learn to be a smarter consumer or face the consequences of always getting less for your money.

4 RepliesBungie very well could have made Destiny a console exclusive, especially since they despise Microsoft.
-
2 RepliesMicrosoft had the chance to buy exclusivity, but didn't, don't bitch :)
-
It's not bad business ethics it's just a giant disservice to people to play on the Xbox. We pay the same amount for less content. Don't see that in other mmo's or shooters.
-
3 RepliesHonestly, it could be that XBOX realized that investing millions of dollars for mediocre DLC was bad business practice. I own ps4 and have the SUROS and Monte Carlo. They don't get used. Go play halo
-
3 Replies51% are PS fanboys
-
It's good for business ethics but it's bad for fans cause one half gets more than the other and it just splits the fan of Destiny apart
-
Look mate. You're not paying for less content. We're just getting some extra free stuff because Sony paid for them. If you want them too, then join us on Playstation. That's how this works. If you're upset about this, Sony has achieved what they wanted. They want you to wonder about this whole deal and end up playing on the PS4 to get those exclusives.
-
5 RepliesNo one ever says this shit when xbox gets the exclusives so why now?
-
Why do people still care about this? Like I mean really this console waring crap is stupid PS players get it first but Xbox players WILL EVENTUALLY get this content, just wait guys.
-
Totally agree
-
.....of course.....you're a Xboner. Get over it....exclusives happen....you should know that.
-
OK, so Microsoft started the exclusivity bs and Sony took it to the next level. It's a business decision on both sides. If Microsoft cared enough to pony up the money all you whiny Xbox kids would be parading around with your rainbow flags trying to shove people's nose in it. Playstation owners wouldn't be saying shit because they've become accustomed to it happening to them for years now, it was the norm. Tables turn and omfg the whining will never stop, lol. -blam!-ing crybaby.
-
its so easy to explain Sony paid > ps players have everything Microsoft bitched > xbox players can stop playing destiny and move on or buy a ps4 really not need whining treads about it.
-
2 RepliesIf you're a consumer, it's bad for you. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.
