It is possible because Halo Wars babies your way through the game compared to real RTS games

I'm going to assume you haven't actually beaten it on solo Legendary.
-
I did on an offline profile.
-
You can't expect me to believe that.
-
You think I was gonna waste my time going through that shit game again on Legendary? I barely touched the game when I got Xbox Live. Besides, I was playing the better RTS console game on Xbox Live, Command and Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath.
-
No I don't think that. I just won't believe things without emperical evidence, that's all. Have fun with your other RTS games though. I hail from the FPS and third person shooter genres so I enjoy the simplicity.
-
Most RTS games I have played aren't much more difficult when it comes to single player. Go play through any of the Starcraft singleplayers and tell me they are actually harder to beat than halo wars is.
-
I've been playing Starcraft for 16 years and the singleplayer is more difficult and more rewarding than Halo Wars's Singleplayer. Because unlike Halo Wars, there are 6 campaigns in Starcraft/Brood War that require you to play with all 3 races, not just 1 race like in Halo Wars. With the 6 campaigns that's a total of about 60 missions. Starcraft 2 is even more challenging on Hard and Brutal difficulties and the AI is smarter than it ever was. I couldn't even make it halfway through the Wings of Liberty campaign on Brutal and I'm not even gonna try the Heart of the Swarm campaign on Brutal because I'm terrible with Zerg.
-
Starcraft 2 campaign is pretty easy. Heart of the Swarm is literally a cakewalk. It's probably easier than halo wars on normal. Wings was harder, but it was nothing to write home about. :\ But with Hots you could even win with just spamming zerglings. I beat both campaigns on brutal in like a couple hours each and I suck at Starcraft. Literally. I'm like a vacuum I suck so much. And more missions =\= harder game.
But with Hots you could even win with just spamming zerglings.
Well where's the fun in that?
-
We aren't talking about fun, now are we? There are certainly other ways, but if you can win a campaign by just spamming the weakest unit, then something is wrong. .-. I haven't tried it before, but I don't think you could beat halo wars by spamming nothing but warthogs.
