What the hell is wrong with people?
Dames of Destiny is a place where female gamers find other female gamers in this sausage fest of a game.
How on earth is this a bad thing?
My partner recently started playing, and we welcomed her into our clan, but we currently sit at about 110 members, with her as the only female.
Obviously she wouldn't mind finding some female players to play with, and when I told her about dames of destiny, she thought it was a great idea to join.
Surely even a half wit can understand why dames of destiny exist. Females can sometimes feel intimidated or excluded playing with only male players, and Dames of Destiny creates a space for them to fit in.
Get over yourselves, crying unfair like a bunch of children, let women have a place to connect.

No it is well stated. 1. The fact this guy is portrayed as a female online is weird enough for starters. 2. The whole equality thing people bitch about now a days is seriously too much. There needs to be separation. 3. So what if it's sexist? Kinda taking that a bit too far. The fact men are fighting sexism is beyond me. It creeps me out that you have to stand up for men that want fair treatment so they have a chance to be in an all female clan. The only thing it spells is creepy.

What are some of the unique challenges that you have faced as a community? Dames: A number of our members joined Dames because they experienced a lot of negativity in the gaming world. They were searching for a safe, positive, female gaming community. I’m so happy when we receive positive feedback from members who are happy they found Dames. That’s what makes it all worthwhile! We celebrate all gamers who are positive and supportive, no matter their gender. We created SafeGamers for the people who did not qualify to join Dames, but enjoyed the positive atmosphere we have. SG is our ally clan for the whole Destiny gaming community to join. Each incoming member is screened by a Dame or fellow SG member. If they pass inspection (aren’t a total jerk during a game) they are added to the official roster. That is from their community focus. So even though they made a female only group they also have a seperate group for everyone.

My issue is you are like many people in this world who want to be rid of sexism and racism and all forms of prejudice. You sound like those people. The "accept everybody and everything, tolerance and acceptance is the way, it's 2015 people and we're still racist, against gays, sexist, etc." Not saying you are all those things but you sound like those people. Fact is our world needs seperation on all fronts. Specifically since we are talking about the dames we are talking about sexism. The thing is.... Like many of us have said, it is an ugly world out there. Lots of men and boys say harsh things to both sexes. But in a community primarily populated with males, women are often at a disadvantage not because they are necessarily lacking skills but because they are simply a female. It is not all 13 year old kids either. You have young nerds, you have frat guys, regular joes, older gamers, all kinds of different guys who treat women differently. So for women to start a clan with only women based on that fact, I say it is completely ok for them to seperate themselves. The fact that you don't even have to be in a clan to play the game makes it make more sense. They simply want a place where other females can get together and play a game together. THAT IS ALL. So why do you feel the need to ruin that for them? You are only being a downer and I'm sorry but it comes off creepy like I have stated.

They celebrate all gamers who are positive and supportive but won't let males into their clan. This is sexism. The males who want to be in the Dames is pointed across the street to another clan. Had that male been a female, he would be accepted into the Dames. This is sexism. Since we are talking about the "Dames of Destiny", the other clan is moot since the other clan is a different entity.

There is a difference between exclusivity and prejudice. I'm a golfer, but the PGA tour won't let me play pro events..... It must be because they hate white guys.

So because they can't be surrounded by all these females they desperately want to be around and don't get the to take of being a same of destiny you have to make a big stink about it? Makes no sense. There are plenty worse things out there that deserve your attention.

If you think males fighting that is creepy you're simply insecure. You can't blame people for wanting to join a clan that claims to enforce positive atmospheres for gamers. Turning them down because their gender is literally antithetic to your 'cause'.

You keep saying the words 'sexist' and 'sexism'. I don't think they mean what you think they mean. Is a men only bowling group sexist? Or a women only darts club? No. That is not sexist. Starting any sort of group and exclusively accepting a single sex, is not sexist, it's just PREFERENCE. Sounds like some people care more about winning arguments than the people involved. Go start a male only destiny group, and you will soon realize that NOBODY CARES.

Sports groups are only logical to allow exclusively a sex that's statistically proven to be more efficient at the sport. Also a sports group isn't a service or commercial in any way whereas a clan [b]is[/b], which means they forfeit the right to choose their clientele. These are key differences you've missed.

I guess half of what I said went completely over your head. Do you not understand the differences between a clan that provides a service and a team for recreational purposes? Imagine you go to a tennis court and are not allowed to join because you aren't as flexible as most women. That's pretty reasonable, and thusly fair. Now imagine you go to a tanning salon and are refused service because you are a man. That's just the rules of the salon. Is that fair or reasonable?

There are women only tanning salons, and women only gyms. Because some women like to go there. You know what the men do? Go somewhere else.
