Im actually really pleased by what Im hearing. Secrets to discover, patrol mode no longer easymode (AWESOME), bosses to trigger, loot to be found?
I mean, ok, Im tempering my expectation a little. I reckon the loot will be meh compared to whatever the new top-dog exotic will be, but hell it'll be fun finding it!
What does the community at large think?

It'll be fun running the new stuff with clanmates and friends once or twice, but there's no use getting too hype for patrol content if the loot will be little more than underwhelming gear and pointless cosmetic items that I won't ever use. Hopefully they actually give you worthwhile items this time around.

I won't preorder -too many issues with prior DLCs + lots of friends leaving the game- but if the reports are good from my few friends who have preordered, I'll probably get it. HoW bettered the "QoL" of the game, but it didn't add enough interesting content. I'd rather have content come in an expansion. QoL changes can and should be made in updates, not just expansions. The raid is the main reason I see myself getting TTK. If the raid is received well, then I'm in. PoE just wasn't/isn't good enough. Holding off weapon balance till TTK comes out would be such an obvious and aggravating attempt to lure people back who are over the game in its current form. It's been too long for them to not do anything about it and I wouldn't appreciate the total disregard of community wishes. They know the changes. Implement them now so we can see if they are the correct changes. Mistakes have been made every time weapons were adjusted. I'm sure this will not be an exception, so let's make sure year two doesn't start off horribly. In house testing has been insufficient thus far.

We saw how that went with Vanilla and the subsequent DLC's. Read an article today that the pre-ordering of games is down substantially across the board which is actually nice to see! Activision actually spoke to this and about realigning expectations based on pre-order trends across the industry.

I cant wait for ttk and plus there will be reveal streams on twitch before it drops so that will give us a good idea what we're going into and what sort of loot we will get so im pretty excited for it

Excited and nervous there are very few players who like destiny anymore. If they bomb ttk then there may be no hope.

I just hope there are fun things to do solo. My friends all work strange hours. It's hit or miss. Not expecting to get the new exotics solo but would love something fun to do when I get tired of grinding.
