The speaker, I don't trust him
So I let my roommate use one of my three characters on destiny and we're always talking about the dialogue of the vendors when you walk by them and how it changes after you complete certain events, ie. Eris after you kill crota. She gave hints after killing crota that oryx would come seeking revenge, low and behold he comes the taken King.
Since day one we have had an on going bet about the speaker, because of his looks and voice there is no doubt in my mind he is going to one day betray us. However my roommate swears he is purely good.
A few weeks ago I got a confirmation. I was walking around the reef and I can't remember which vendor ( it was either varkis or the Osiris guy) said something along the lines of "what if I told you the speaker has been playing you all along" and I Instantly began to freak out. I believe these small hints given to you by different characters in social realms carry a lot of weight and there's no doubt in my mind that the speaker is now going to betray us.
Have anyone of you heard something similar, and if so which vendor did you hear if from? I would love to provide proof to my roommate that the speaker is a sketchy guy.

Grimoire cards say their chosen for their ability to communicate with the traveller. Also osiris didn't like the speaker (obviously as he cast him out because of his obsession with the vex) Osiris believes the traveller is an egg, a womb, for something much much greater. (osiris' theories have been proven correct thus far) Edit: brother Vance also has another motive, the trials of osiris is a charade to make us focus on that. (grimoire card again) Osiris sent him there for another mission, and said not to worry about being discovered as no one will question him due to the trials

Yeah, I've had the same suspicions ever since I first saw him. He just gives me a really weird vibe. I wouldn't be surprised if him betraying us becomes a major thing later on.

I always knew he was a manipulating mofo. My guess has been he is in cahoots with the Traveler. We are being used to bring the traveler to places he can't go by use of the Ghosts.
