if you take a look at the buildings (green light, as minas morgul is described same in book) and setting in whole crota's end, the pillar-platforms on bridge cp, reminds l.o.t.r., especially also this eye thing above crota^^ never realized some of the similarities you mentioned in your post, but thought about l.o.t.r. too already before at some point^^

I have watched the movie and read the hobbit and the first one a long time ago can't find the second one !

me too, book was to me long time ago too, same for movies somehow...but nevertheless great and i think too, that destiny was somehow inspired too by it
