No. Some of us simply understand that Bungie and Activision are running BUSINESSES...and not COMMUNITY SERVICES. Grow up kid.

  • Halo - a commercial success. Halo - a community masterpiece.

  • Halo: The right game, at the right time, in the right place, for the right generation. I personally found it rather dull. As far as Bungie games go, I thought Oni was a much better game.

  • My issue isn't that they need to make money. The do they can be a little bit more ethical. That's my issue.

  • You can, believe it or not, run a business and not base it on unscrupulous decision making. You can build a quality product, sell it for what it is, and still somehow manage to be successful.

  • I agree with you, Ryno. Look at Bethesda, Bethesda does it without shredding their reputation. Look at their content vs the paltry amount ActiBungle is offering. Look at the price differences in ratio to the amount of content offered. It's not "running a business" that people have issue with, Kelly. It's the unethical business practices that ActiBungle is busy delving in to. Just because it's legal, does not mean that it's ethical.

Not arguing for bungie but didn't Bethesda start selling mods and letting the free modders lose their mods to people who are charging money for them?

  • Batheseda does the same thing. They just CAMOUFLAGE it better. Bethesda solves the problem by passing the cost off onto wealthier gamers in the form of consmetic micro-transactions at very inflated prices. So players with lots of cash foot the bill for those gamers without it....and those gamers without that cash can fool themselves into thinking there's a "free lunch'. because they never have to see the bill. If anything THAT is unscrupulous. Because at least with Activision, you are only being asked to pay YOUR OWN way.
