Anyone else want a German campaign?
It could be very story driven, and probably one of the saddest stories in gaming... But I'd pay $120 for a high quality German campaign.

Edited by UberFonzie: 7/27/2015 6:09:48 PMA German campaign would be bad because A. Most CoD gamers are in the U.S., thus CoD games need an American protagonist. B. -godwinslaw!-'s are always the bad guy. Always. Every game, every movie, every form of media, and for a generally good reason. C. A German WWII campaign would either involve killing Americans or British, which wouldn't go down well with the average consumer. (Yes, I know that Black Ops pitted Americans against playable foreigners, but that's different and it still caused minor controversy.) That's why a large producer won't make a game with a German WWII military campaign. I've seen a couple low-budget indie developers do it, though.

I think a German campaign would be a very neat change to the game, I would definitely buy it because I love history and I love FPS's

Imagine people's reactions when they find out that German soldiers were often indoctrinated children who grew up into the -godwinslaw!-'s war. Kids don't give a shit about history classes, so games are a great way to reach them.

It might be a little much for some kids, yet the game is rated M for Mature, and I wholeheartedly agree, I've learned quite a bit from Assassin's Creed series, obviously Fiction, but the events, people, and deaths are all historically accurate.

You mean none of Assassin's Creed happened?
-
No, there was not a cloaked Italian who found alien artifacts and killed hundreds of members of the military and most major politicians.
-
You might want to check your history, Assassin's Creed is s historical representation of events.
-
But 50% of the story never happened
-
It happened whether you like it or not. Assassin's Creed happened. Open your eyes.

*not sure if troll or conspiracy theorist*

Idiot.
-
Yep, this happened.

I don't know why you're so opposed to the idea. Of course it happened.
