3D printing guns is not art, it's not creative, and you should feel bad for entering the contest.

Yeah, yeah. Bait post. Anyway, 3D printing a gun isn't that easy. First one needs extensive knowledge of firearms. Then extensive knowledge of how to set up/design/print it. Even then, with too much plastic like that the gun will fail quickly. Maybe not after the first shot, but soon enough it will. Meaning you either need more durable materials or buy those parts separately.

The definition of art is evolving over time and can vary based on context; anything really can in fact be art. 3d printed items positioned to a certain angle with small detail tweaks can be considered art, A dirty plate can be considered art!

I've been wondering because I created the Iron Banner signia from oak wood and carved it with a precise bandsaw in woodshop to allow it to be an assembling and disassembling puzzle. Also the wood grain has been stained on both sides so that the tree is what one must fill in.
