Deej,Cozmo,Does bungie not like scout rifles and machine guns?
When this game first came out i was excited to get my hands on one gun: Fate of all fools. I was extremely disappointed when i heard it wasn't available to get and which each update and dlc where it was supposedly to be available,it was continually pushed back. I thought that with the upcoming HOW i would finally be able to have an opportunity to get it along with the 357 vesta dynasty. But alas,Fate of All Fools was pushed back yet again and 357 vesta dynasty was removed all together.
Next to machine guns,scout rifles rarely get the exotic treatment. While each expansion brought more auto rifles,shotguns,and fusion rifles,no attention was given to machine guns or scout rifles.
Bungie if you don't want destiny to be a one exotic game,how about you make more exotics? Make a machine gun that rivals the gally,not another launcher.
Deej,cozmos, give it to me straight: Will the Fate of All Fools and 347 vesta dynasty ever be in the game? Will there ever be all new exotic machine guns or scout rifles added to destiny or are the vanilla ones the only exotic SRs and MGs that'll be in destiny?

57 RepliesI can't tell you what is being added to the game, but can assure you Bungie does not hate machine guns or scout rifles. I love scout rifles and use them often. DeeJ is a huge fan of machine guns and goes on and on about them.

Machine Guns are some of the most powerful guns in the game and scout rifles are pve favorites and are also receiving a pve buff, mag size increase and so forth. What more love is needed?

I understand the pain of not having an exotic scout other than MIDA. I will say though the NL Shadow 701 is an absolute beast with full auto/firefly. If only I could get my Fang to full auto!

With Fate of all Fools probably never going to be available and my personal BOYCOTT of Vesta Dynasty (don't ask) Mida is less a Scout Rifle and more a sub machine gun. Every single non cheeser Guardian knows Scout Rifles are the best and most enjoyable weapons, esp. one with FIREFLY, to use in Destiny. Why therefore are there no more Exotic Scouts?

2 RepliesWell I know the jade rabbit is coming with TTK. That's a scout rifle. I'm not disagreeing with you. I wish there were more of these two weapons too. Just saying we're at least getting one with the next one.

some of our favorite scouts are up for a little buff here and there on the 2.0 update. I have high hopes for the little exotic scout that could. I agree though the exotic machine guns have not been much worth getting out of the vault....pun intended

4 RepliesThunderlord is a great machine gun. I'm Pretty sure if you empty out it's inventory on a ultra at 34 it does a more damage than most rocket launchers (not sure about gjally because i don;t know it's exact stats but it probably wouldn't be stronger.)

i think FoAF went back to the drawing board- I thought stat wise it looked a bit underwhelming and not really living up to the "you can't get it hype" it was creating- imagine if you got your hands on it and it was just kinda meh- the comment shit storm can be ...held off a bit....all just my opinion and based in just that

Not exotic but have you gotten your hands on a BTRD machine gun? I have three ascended each with different burns. Love my mini Thunderlords.

I too was looking forward to FATE, I loved my mida, it was my first exotic. I pretty much only use scouts in crucible, fang was my fav for a long time. Lately loving the wolves leash with its super fast fire rate. obviously scouts are not favored by many and that includes bungie. definitely would be nice to get some new exotic ones

I personally have a feeling that with the rest of the content that is supposedly coming this summer for house of wolves, that these two weapons along with others will be released. The fate of all fools will bring people back into the trials which bungie obviously would like to do. The 347 vesta dynasty will bring even more players back into pve where I believe it will be obtained. It would benefit bungie to get players back in the game right before ttk drops.
