I see sidearms as an alternative to people who don't want to use fusion rifles but something similar range wise. Right now, as there are only two, sidearms are trying to find their place in the destiny world and they haven't quite found it yet I guess. Personally, I don't know if they need anything or what it would be if they do. Its true though that the currently only exotic sidearm needs some buffing.

Vestian is the ultimate hobgoblin disabling tool. I think sidearms should be super efficient with ammo and always spawn with new bullets. It should also be able to slow down targets if enough damage is dealt. Currently the vestian is the best weapon to use alongside universal remote and NLB cause it has so much ammo. Its great.

Exactly, they are an alternative, a very fun one but you would think that for a class they just introduced and is rather unstable it should at least have been mentioned. Thank you for reading such a long post, gonna see if I can make it shorter and post it again, I really want to see how people feel about this.
