Bungie doesn't care. I've started reading the forums before I play, it is helping me kick my habit. The PVP focus with Trials and no checkpoints in POE really have deterred me. Trials needs to get rid of the losses on the card. POE shouldn't have FOUR sets of armor and needs way BETTER weapons. PVP armor should be raised instead of nerfing all the weapons. The whole game needs to be 6 player. We should be able to run strikes, NF, Weekly, and even patrols with 6. If it wasn't for playing with my 10 year old and wife, I would have already stopped until September. When my 10 year old finishes Skolas and completes her Triumphs, we will all probably stop until TTK releases.

Playing with your 10-y-o is why you need no losses on Trials. That's not Bungie's fault

Yes, I choose to play with my 10 year old and have fun. It's better than playing with people that think Trials should be defended in its current state. I would rather lose with her than play with you.
-
Keep having fun as much as you can, even if bungie tries to make it hard to like the game.

I'm sure it's very fun to play with her, and I'm not dissing you for doing so. However think of what you're asking for. The whole point of Trials is to be a challenge for the best of the best to reach its pinnacle. If you change that formula too much, it changes what it is meant to be. Every other game mode rewards stuff based on how well you play or alternatively how much you play, even badly. This is the one game mode where your performance directly correlates to rewards.

If you think that only "the best of the best" are winning at trials, you sir, are delusional. No offense but I'm pretty sure that's not the way it is going down

I'm responding to the guy above.

Edited by neoclone13: 7/24/2015 10:15:52 PMSomehow I responded to my own post meaning to respond to yours. It's above if you want to read it. However, I thought of another way to explain the problem with Trials current setup. I looked at your profile and you are missing a Hard Crota win for the Year One emblem. If I help you get the Crota win, we aren't taking anything away from any other player. Other people just got there first. On the flip side, if you help me get to Mercury, we are taking away someone else's chance of getting those rewards. I would prefer for everyone to be able to get the rewards and save the emblem for flawless. In that setup, the best people get there first. The people that are good enough get there eventually. And finally, the people that need practice can do so, it may take them a month to finally get nine wins on a card in the given time, but they have a chance. I'm probably in the last group, but I could get the chance and even do it with my daughter. In its current state, IF (and a big IF) we can get someone to play with us, we don't stand a chance even grinding it out. I doubt, we could get a team, my KD is probably lower than hers. I have played with a few randoms from the boards and some of my friends. I usually win one and lose two and repeat. I end at 2-3. The boons change it a little. I actually have the chest piece for my Warlock, but I refuse to pay some kids twitch stream account to get anything else. That seems to be the way it goes now. With that setup, unless TripleWreck finds me and is in a giving mood, I'm screwed. So, from my original post that started all this, remove the losses on the card and keep everything else in Trials the same.

Edited by neoclone13: 7/24/2015 1:43:54 PMThat would be great if Trials were just about the best of the best. It's not! With the rest of the game you can grind just about anything. Trials has turned into a "pay some kids twitch account to carry you through game mode". I hate the exclusion. I'm not asking for Adept weapons. What I would like, is to be able to play and grind out enough wins to buy the armor and the weapons without being punished for the loses. I don't like that content is locked behind other players. Let me visit Mercury after nine wins but not open the chest. You defended Trials like it was an MLG contest that I signed up for. I purchased Destiny from my impressions of the game playing the Beta. It wasn't supposed to be a PVP focused game. I put up with RNG and didn't get the Gally until almost 1400 hours. I don't want to spend another 2000 practicing to beat some try hard so I can get to Mercury. RNG I can deal with, content that is not accessible frustrates me. On a side note, thanks for saying you weren't dissing me for playing with my kid. I like playing with her.
