Its a decent sniper. I didn't put it on the list because you'll still be able to get it after The Taken King comes. The other thing though is that its stats aren't all that impressive compared to the LDR and other snipers of the same archetype. Still, its not a bad sniper.

I love my ldr but, I mentioned it just because you can roll it.

That is definitely true and a good point. I'm expecting there to be another sniper of that archetype in the coming DLC but its certainly not a bad idea to get the weapon for that reason.
