They'll never release an explanation, only DLC The story was cut because it would drive away kids, and Activision wanted the game kid friendly. An in game economy through trading and stuff would result in a situation similar to TF2 (kids getting scammed), although there are probably other reasons to this. I could go on and on about how the game was destroyed. The game was changed for kids and sales. I hope they can get it closer to what it was supposed to be. I don't think that I have the exact reasons, although it must be close
