Of course they ran out of ideas, ask the vanilla weapons were supposed to be it for the whole game initially (before the content was cut for dlcs). This is power creep at its finest forcing bungie to nerf the vanilla weapons so we don't continue using them for all 10 years, and so that we continue to play the game, some of us enjoy playing the game for the sake of playing, others for that golden carrot. Bungie is trying to keep up this carrot philosophy since they aren't going to make a better launcher than gally and no better sniper than IB/BH. These weapons caused people to play this game for many hours to get and use. They could possibly be doing a perk exchange where they essentially make duplicates of these weapons that we again have to chase. This seems likely as it will force us to buy dlcs, since all The HOW weapons were pretty much a flop and I personally didn't care much to aquire them (as I'm sure others felt)(#shank burn seriously?). This is most the laziest way to ensure masses will continue to throw money at the tv to stay competitive. As a closing note , I think I am just going to play PvP from now on because the pve aspect is just getting -blam!-ed with too much for me

An adept scholar is very good and some of the other Crota weapons are good. But I agree, they're out of ideas, which is expected. They did come up with quite a bit!
