I'm still getting used to a fully upgraded Hawkmoon. The range seems quite good on it, but that's getting nerfed with the other HC's. I do find that it seems to have a smaller hitbox than the Loner.Rebel HC I was previously using. Still getting used to HC's though, having previously been a staunch Scout Rifle Man. I still have a fondness for my Badger CCL with Explosive Rounds & Firefly perks in PvE though. Although the Mida Multi is really growing on me too.

  • I agree. The range reduction on the HCs will be something that may make or break them for me. I already notice the difficulty at plugging long shots with it, but a majority of PvP and PvE engagements occur in the mid-range class. Before Hawkmoon and the Red Nine, I also used nothing but scouts. I still seem to rely on my scouts heavily, but I'm forcing myself to learn the Hand Cannons. Thorn was a really easy pick up, same with the Regulator Mk. 56 and Red Nine. The Hawkmoon is just a lovely gun, but I'm struggling with the way it handles and performs. I tested it again last night and I still think it has an issue with the hitbox or sights. I noticed a higher chance at performing a crit, if I square their crit-zone between the red dot and the front post if the gun. Like someone suggested, it also favors the right side of the hit zone, most likely due to its right and upward recoil pattern (like a perfect diagonal most consistent with aggressive ballistics by comparison). The Red Nine has a more upward with slightly right recoil pattern. The Thorn's is more spontaneous and circular, but doesn't stray too much from the original point of aim. I did not test the TLW last night. Oddly, I noticed an improvement in performance and hitbox registry when I cranked my sensitivity to 10. This may just be coincidence and luck. While I love the Hawkmoon and will still try to use it, I think I've begun to favor other guns as a primary weapon. Sadly, I really wanted to fall in love with it and keep it equipped at all times.
