How would a controller mod increase the base fire rate of the gun? You can mod a controller all you want, you're not going to make a shotgun fire like an autorifle.

Custom programme. You know like the xbox elite pad. Replace rt with 3x rt. Make one trigger pull count as 3. Real simple stuff

Like Mr Winkle says, you can pull the trigger all you want - a simple input command isn't going override the essential fire rate. Plenty of guns I'm pulling the trigger much faster than the thing will fire, won't speed it up any. Which certainly isn't to say there weren't shenanigans - I'm just pretty sure that wonky controllers aren't the cause.

I think what he's saying is the fire rate of the gun itself wouldn't allow you to do that. Like if you've got a rocket launcher, you could spam the trigger like 6 times in a second but it's still realistically only gonna fire one rocket because of the fire rate of the weapon itself.
