I think it's kind of stupid since the only people practicing it are those wealthy enough to have the luxury of going to Starbucks everyday to begin with. It's a cheap way for upper middle class folks to ease their consciences without having to really help the poor.

I'm not talking about Starbucks... I'm a minimum wage low middle class kid. I don't drink Starbucks lol. I'm talking about doing a good deed like stopping to help someone change a tire or something along those lines, and you declining any offer of reparations and just say pay it forward.

Oh that makes more sense. Over here in California "Pay it Forward" is sort of a popular hipster trend which essentially just means buying the person behind you an overpriced espresso drink and so on.
