Yeah man! So many posts about that stuff out there. I actually like the PvE changes. I feel like people will stop looking for people with [i]only those weapons[/i], and at the same time won't make me feel like[i] I have to have a certain weapon equipped[/i] all the time and free me up to try other things.

I admit.... the black hammer one seems a little extreme, but I also just want to try it out too and then make my judgement on it.... because the benefit of not reloading is still pretty huge! You could still take out spider walkers, and other big bosses like that pretty easily.

See it from Bungies perspective, for FUTURE bosses and such, would you want your players sitting in a safe spot while the boss is distracted or something, and just take him down in two minutes? If I was a dev, I wouldn't. BH was OP.

Plus they can still get A LOT of shots off since they don't have to reload. You're right, making the ammo not infinite doesn't make it worthless.

There is no other sniper rifle that reloads automatically, so no I wouldn't say useless. Completely useful, just not overpowered in pve. They did add more reserve ammo also.
