Why a church? Off all the places atheists could gather, why a church? It just seems silly if you ask me.

I agree, it's pretty weird. Atheism by definition is lack in a belief. And a church is a place of worship, so they could've named it differently, like a club house or something. I don't get this too. What do they do in these churches if they don't pray, do they like eat cookies and talk about their lack of belief?

I want to attend one session, just sitting in the back and when it's over just go, "ahem, I'm a christian, I find your gathering in a church quite contradictory to your stance on faith to God, why are you in a church?". I might get hit but it would be worth it.
