I think that another poster had a good idea about Mercury being the subject of Vex Animus. It makes sense that Mercury would be the primary location, since the Vex seemed to have turned the entire planet in a machine. I would likely be there headquarters in this solar system.

It's in-game. During a cutscene I believe, just before going Venus or something like that. I can't actually source the information from the internet though. Maybe if they have online transcripts for the game, you could read it.
