You people forget that once something is nerfed in pvp it becomes nerfed in pve as well. Hand cannons by far do way more damage than scouts and pulses to enemies per bullet. Not gonna sit there and put 3 pulse rifle clips into 1 major that's completely retarded.

Here's the thing, it doesn't actually have to get modified in both. Now you're wondering, where's my proof? Well if you remember the shotgun buff for PvE that happened, you would know that Bungie has the ability to modify weapons separately for PvE and PvP. If that buff carried over to PvP, I would only need maybe a third the pellets in my felwinter's to kill you, but it didn't obviously.

Shotguns were buffed with a hidden modifier that simply makes the shotguns do 100% more damage. But I feel that the hand cannons won't receive the same treatment.
-
But there's the fact that Bungie has the ability to do so, and if they don't that's just extremely lazy. No weapon is really "OP" in PvE, and anyone who complains about it being OP there is a plain idiot. 'Oh no, my weapon is killing these guys too quickly that I don't know what I'll actually do with the rest of the day?!?!'
-
I know but why were autos nerfed in pve? It should not require an entire clip of suros to kill 2 dregs.
-
Because laziness, and Bungie just wanted to make ARs completely unpopular and essentially useless so they'd have to switch.

I love using auto rifles, the nerf they applied to appease crucible players, totally destroyed there effectiveness in PVE. They proved with shotguns that they can apply damage output stats in PVP and PVE independantly, why can't they do the same for auto rifles?
