The only problem I have is bungie not valuing their players. In order to be a year one shining star in eyes you need to go buy destiny and both dlcs. They don't give a crap about day one players who don't have one of the expantions

You can get that sparrow, shader, and emblem just for having one level 30 character. It's just that 'moments of triumph' thing you need the dlcs for.
