Edited by Un1337ninj4: 7/10/2015 8:18:01 PMAlready did, I mentioned the HoW raid in the Disc-Locked content portion. As a loving Raider I was all too excited for a new one as much as the next guy, however I must admit the PoE at least spiced things up.
We also have on-disc versions of Trials weapons using old models and different perk loadouts and Queen's Rare quality gear that will never see the light of day. Because Bungie used the time prior (and following in the case of the Queen's Emissary) to the release of these bits to overhaul how these events work along with the how, what, and why of the impact these entities have in the story of Destiny's universe. Instead of always playing on The Burning Shrine Trials now take place at one random map, instead of Queen's missions being paltry daily Heroics we have the Pack of Wolves, The Myriad, and history on the Reef Wars. And in one of the biggest cases, instead of a HoW Raid, we have the Prison of Elders (No matter what one may say, variety is welcomed in the end-game of any MMO-lite. Sure, Bungie & Activision may not have cut all of this for the good nature of finishing a product, but at least they're keeping it updated and using the lessons learned from previous encounters (see VoG vs Crota) to enhance the encounters we face moving forward. It's also worth noting that even the 343 Vesta Dynasty has gotten a complete visual overhaul since its original datamine and it's not unlikely that the FoAF isn't a final product either.
Edited by Cheesesteak21: 7/10/2015 8:23:33 PMA raid is by definition a 6 man activity. And I have an email from bungie promising raids with HoW and TdB. And prison of elders is nothing like a raid. (No raid type weapons [Ie oracle disruptor or bonus damage to hive majors] it dosent directly grant endgame armour) also you can tell they rearranged things at the last minute or they would have known skolas was unplayable by the mechanics with the burns.

I know mate, but by twisting that they displeased a portion of the community to open the gates to expand it as well as bring in additional flavor. Now I'm actually pretty upset we lost a Raid for this new Endgame as much as I am glad to have something truly new in the endgame. Also, it was proven a long time ago there would be a Raid and the weapons that came with that promise were changed as well to accommodate the changes in the lore and themes as well as update to something that isn't just a simple reskin with set perks.

If you know all this why did you make a post defending bungie?

Edited by Un1337ninj4: 7/11/2015 2:04:55 AMTo say "Aye, they did screw up a lot of things, but they've also completely changed how some of these things work and/or have made the lessons from the butchered state of the game to improve the pieces that were cut." Going back to another quote from the post that comes to mind, same subsegment: "We also have on-disc versions of Trials weapons using old models and different perk loadouts and Queen's Rare quality gear that will never see the light of day. Because Bungie used the time prior (and following in the case of the Queen's Emissary) to the release of these bits to overhaul how these events work along with the how, what, and why of the impact these entities have in the story of Destiny's universe. Instead of always playing on The Burning Shrine Trials now take place at one random map, instead of Queen's missions being paltry daily Heroics we have the Pack of Wolves, The Myriad, and history on the Reef Wars." Even in the base game of the Queen's Wrath there was no impact behind the targets, no lore, no reason. Just "Hey, this Fallen. I don't like him, he stole Prince Uldren's Sweet Roll.". Minus the punchline, or a punch... Just a flat line.

We got poe instead. We were never promised a raid at any given time.
-
Yes we were. They sent an email on it. Do research before you talk.

Mind showing me this email?

Edited by BOBAKthePRODIGY: 7/11/2015 2:57:51 AMUm...sorry I trashed mine. Who would have thought it would so controversial! Here's the next best thing....screen shots of the promo materials sent out. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/117324474/0/0

Oh lol I guess so. I'm no really defending this anymore but it's sort of an explanation. Poe counts as a "raid" because we get flawless trophy by doing the lvl 32 version of it. But like I said there is the proof, I just found this email as well

Thank you for keeping an open mind. Aprreciate that.

Bullshit I have an email from bungie telling me to preorder tdb and how because each would have a raid and no poe is no substitute for a raid which is by definition a 6 man activity. NEXT!
