If the dlc content they cut wasn't ready why not give it for free or delay the game to finish it

Delays were a discussion among Activision and Bungie according to some old leaks. However before the leaks were popping up was long after Bungie had made the presentation regarding Destiny 1's Expansion and Comet platform and that may have had an impact on investors as well as advertising promises and more. Pure speculation of course.

Then they should have made them free like old Bungie

Edited by Un1337ninj4: 7/10/2015 8:02:05 PMI'm actually going to pull up some economics here. Prices of a AAA console release has stuck at 60 USD for well over a decade now. The way companies circumvent that today is by having DLC, Microtransactions, and Sub fees. Destiny in particular plans to keep pushing patches and changes and each time they do it costs money from both Microsoft and Sony. The current pricing foundation keeps the benefits of subscriptions without any of the negatives at a much reduced price rivaling that of just regular DLC at a larger scale. Instead of 13 bucks a month the base price player will have payed 7 USD per-month every Title release. (Destiny: Expansion 1 & 2 (90 w/ Digital Guardian), Major Expansion (40), Expansion 3 & 4 (40) over 24 months) And higher payers get some goodies, but nothing game breaking. Just itemized pride and gratitude mostly. In that time, the player's 7 USD isn't like traditional MMO-lites and actually just "pay for what you know you'll get" instead of "pay us always and never know what's going on until we announce where your money's going". While completely dodging the sheer evil of micro-transactions.

PvZ:Garden Warfare has a price tag of 30$ and has all dlc free and this is from EA and with BungieVision they'll show a lot of pretty things in the trailers for the dlc but it will be nothing like what it is shown as.Just look at all the false advertisements that were shown before Destiny released. This game is dying and it is a proud day.

PvZ: GW is a glorified minigame at best and it both does this proudly and efficiently, even if it's not my cup of tea. Anywho all across all of Destiny's pre-release content everywhere you go you will find "Not a final product" and "Subject to change". Bungie's always set their sights too big when making a game and have always been masters of scaling down the dream into a concentrated and condensed product. Sadly in Destiny's case this wasn't purely in its favor. However it wasn't a total disservice either.

Garden Warfare was not a glorified mini game it came with over 6 game modes,1200 customisable items and 72 different variants. It was a disservice, they showed all of this amazing stuff but then when we get the game its a steaming pile of hot melted shit.

Edited by Un1337ninj4: 7/10/2015 8:52:04 PM
...efficiently and proudly...
- As in "It's a damn fine example of what a baseline six-mode PvP only shooter should be". It looks like a steaming pile of hot shit aye, but then you see what they do with the additional time spent tweaking what was cut and that what allows the game to actually have merit for those decisions even if not fully justifying. And that's why I made this post. And personally, I'm willing to bet some of these features were incompatible with previous gen, such as the ship flying spawn bit. And in regards to the Destiny is Dying bit there's a subsection in the OP about that I quote as "Regardless however games will fade in popularity and anyone who's ever played a game similar to Destiny on PC will tell you that right between big updates and expansions always comes with it's own population lull making the game "die" to some extent when comparing the release population to that of later down the line after other games players have left for have been released. But many those same guys putting their controllers down will be on the Forums and Social Media with increasing regularity, hence some of you reading this post. Doesn't mean Destiny is truly dead nor dying than the same way you live, breathe, and reach a point of cellular degeneration and die of old age, only in this case Destiny keeps getting boost of cellular growth every year and sees a decline until the next September in the most common circumstance."
