Other simply because Catholicism isn't listed. (I know it's a Christian denomination). Simply because Catholicism is a religion of peace, though I know people do a pretty shitty job of living it correctly. What Roman Catholicism teaches is peace, love, and virtue. People are people, they'll be a-holes and such, and I've seen plenty of it from other Catholics. That's not my point though. My point is not to say that other religions aren't peaceful, it's just to address the lies and rumors about Catholicism that are acknowledged in today's society and why I believe that Catholicism is at heart a religion of peace.

The popes were ambitious, the lords were greedy, the peasants were stupid. Done.

  • It doesn't matter. At the core it was the same religion. The soldiers were fighting in a holy war that was sanctioned by the church all in the name of God

  • That doesn't make a damn bit of difference. It doesn't matter what the popes, lords, and peasants were. The crusades were wars based off religious persecution. It's that simple. The Catholics wanted the land so they tried to take it from the Muslims. They called it a holy war and used God as a justification to do it.
