I feel like most of the people getting offended by this have never interacted with illegals before.

That's what white people think, this is the thing: people from South and Central America are escaping from their dictated countries all of them go north and reach Mexico, Mexico doesn't want those people so Mexico send them back to their country or they send them to US, so "the illegal" immigrants are not only Mexican.
