What I would give to own or be able to make a real Stradivarius...
English
-
Many have tried to copy the Strads, but few match the sound quality. Engineers are just now discovering some of the secrets to what actually makes a Strad so good!
-
I know, and no matter how close it's still a noticable difference in the quality of the sound. Crazy to think some guy, albiet a master of his trade, in italy could make something so perfect and remarkable centuries later.
-
But seriously though; I'd trade my soul for a Strad violin. And even still I'd probably be in debt.
-
"Oh, trading in your soul for a Strad today? Alrighty, That'll be.....10 million left over. Credit, or debit?"
-
I wonder how many souls it would take. Probably at least a city full.
-
Sounds like a question for a ginger violinist.
-
Lol I'm almost both. I play violin but my 25% of Irish heredity wasn't enough to make me soulless.
-
I'm at the pinnacle of the exact opposite of those criteria. I can't play violin, although I want to learn, and my mexican and native american heritage makes being a ginger basically impossible, and even if so, extremely ugly
-
Learn the violin if you want to! I didn't know the first thing to playing it when I started two Decembers ago, but now I can even fiddle a few tunes and I'm getting into 3rd and 5th positions. Unless you can't afford it financially, I say go for it.
-
Exactly. It's a legend that can't be beaten (yet).
