What do you mean I have not "studied" the game? People keep saying to go down to the cosmodrome hive but Im telling you I've been there and not had any. I have killed probably thousands of majors since Dark Below came and I am not getting Black Wax drop. Whether they are in cosmodrome or in a strike or whatever shouldnt matter.

If you do the level 24 task on cosmodrome rinse and repeat think it's the Fist of Crota just start it let Omnigul spawn the 2 sets then she dissappear go into the ruin and kill the 3 hive gargoyles and crotas slave then take sword move forward kill the hive and the acolytes then go to orbit and repeat . I usually get 2 black wax out of 3 times doing it though sometimes have to do it 6+7 times hope this helps if not use the one where you spawn on earth go left down the steps and into the room there 2 acolytes and 1 major kill them and get silken codex or black wax sorry if I slighted you

Yeh. Um I have 3 34 characters and have been playing since launch. If I havent studied the game by now then I dont know what Ive been doing all this time playing haha. Really I find the best place for majors is on the Awakening mission in the long halls just before Crotas soul shard. However, wherever I go in the game I am not getting Black Wax drop. Just Silken. Finding majors is not my issue. Its that since Dark Below came out the Black Wax doesnt drop anymore.
