To those who say do PoE or ToO, what about the people who don't have the DLC? They too were promised that they could ascend their gear. Nightfall is an unreliable way of getting Etheric Light (believe me, I do the nightfall 2-3 times every week and have yet to see one).

They are random drops. Some are luckier than other. So far i have got 5 in nightfall.

And for the record, I have Destiny for the PS3 (with the DLC) and Xbox One (no DLC), so I feel the sting of the DLC lockout.

I haven't seen one drop in Nightfall, either. Though I'm sure it does. I do not want to make PoE or ToO obsolete. That is not my intent. I would like to see the players be able to pick up another 1 or 2 every couple of weeks. This would also encourage grinding the content that rewards crucible/vanguards marks. And we all know Bungie loves to have us grind.

Right! We're not saying "GIVE US 10 ELIGHTS EVERY WEEK BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO EARN THEM". Instead, we're saying let the casual people get a taste of upgraded items so they don't have to grind for yet another month to get items that they thought they didn't need to purchase again.

It should drop on other raids, would bring life back to them. Add that to wolf treasure, it would give incentive to the hunt. As for nightfall, I've seen one drop ever. Seen more ghorn drops than elite.

I've seen one Ghorn drop. Which is one more than I've seen of Etheric Light

Poe and TOO are for armor and guns, the elight is for upgrades. It should be more available. After all this is not a raid.

Hell the grind is still there, just make it available in other things. Just like shards were part of public events.
