Same. Although, it didn't make sense to me as to why the giant whale felt like eating something that wasn't brought by a crane dangling over the water. I mean, it gets thousands of visitors every day that would be a plentiful meal if it decided to attack them, but for the movie's sake, let's just say reasons.

Probably because they neglected to feed it since the park was in a critical situation over the course of the day / giant tail dangling over the side
