Don't try, you don't get weapon engrams from vanguard tiger, only armor engrams

  • Enemies drop engrams. I'm wondering if they are engrams that will be old legendaries.

  • Seriously I've grinded these strikes for a long time trying to get vanilla legendaries, and you can only get armor. The only vanilla engrams that drop are armor engrams, which have a small chance of being given at the rewards screen

  • Vanilla engrams say "The cryptarch in the tower may be able to reveal its contents." Post Dlc engrams say "A matter of remarkable potency. The cryptarch in the tower may be able to reveal its contents." Seriously don't try, you're wasting your time

  • Sorry man, the engrams I got didn't even go in the same section as new engrams. They are seperated the same way as glimmer items and engrams are. That has to mean something.

  • Ya, armor engrams, not weapon engrams. The weapon engrams you get are post dlc.

  • There is no difference between the two engrams. They both go together in their own category. The fact that you have no idea about what I just experienced proves you aren't entirely sure of the answer yourself. Weapons and armor engrams both received from tiger strikes do not go into the same section of the cryptarch as new engrams.

  • Omfg here it is: Vanilla weapon engrams do not drop from vanguard tiger. Vanilla weapon engrams will say "The cryptarch in the tower may be able to reveal its contents." If your engrams' description reads "A matter of remarkable potency. The cryptarch in the tower may be able to reveal its contents," then it will not turn into a vanilla weapon. If you can show me a picture of a blue weapon engram that says "The cryptarch in the tower may be able to reveal its contents," then you're right, I'm wrong.

  • Well there's only one way to prove its not possible, I need to get a legendary and see what it becomes.

Edited for incorrect information, only armor engrams are old.

  • It's not and it's been proven numerous times.

  • Yeah, disregard this, it's only armor engrams that are old. Not weapons.
