Destiny is a MMO nomatter who you think of it. Wow sold mounts for 20 each Rewor well champ skins for 10 each. If you think 20 is expensive for 3 emote, 3 shaders and 3 exotic class items. Your retarded Let's just say this Animators make around 15-20 a hour. It could take 24-45 hours on a single emote. $360-$900 per emote. So a total of $1080- $2700 just to create the emote. Not to code it into the gam,. Make a interface for switching them out, bug testing them, and then playing Microsoft and Sony to have to be able to be downloaded in their store. And that is just the emotes. This is not including everything else.

Animators payroll varies from low market studios yo high end studios. High end studios are ranged from 41-43k starting and can end at 51-56k a year. Furthermore, most game animators can code and integrate their animations into the source code. And a simple animation such as an emote are usually plug-ins that are freeware. Even if it isn't freeware, human animation is rarely done the "old school" way with anchors and inverse kinmatics but through motion caption. It's easier then you think.

They have big microtransactions cos they have big games, and even then those bought items have a trading and auctioning flexibility. Plus, $20 mounts are the exception rather than the rule. They're for people with too much money to bling up their characters, unlike what we just got, which is a panic-fueled shift to microtransactions on items that were originally for either new players or people who rebought the entire game again, due to some horrid foresight and poor decisions on how to market the thing. Bungie is trying to run before they can walk.

Destiny is not a massively multiplayer online game. It's a fps. Mmos include trading systems,large open world maps and an economy. None of which destiny has.

I agree with postmaster...I've been an mmo player for years and this game does not feel like one at all...to restricting...but also agree with the other gent who said 20$ are normal...its is for an mmo and thats why console gamers are having trubs with the pricing. Just my say in the matter.
