Historic? This will be forgotten in a few weeks, if not days.
English
-
I won't forget it when I'm getting married in a few years.
-
Rolls eyes*
-
You could've easily have gone to another state that allowed it in the first place.
-
Yeah and then if I went back to the state that I lived in that didn't allow it, they wouldn't legally recognize my marriage.
-
Then you're obviously living in the wrong area. This will only be remembered by those who are actually homosexual, which is a small percentage of the population.
-
Yeah, and I'm a homosexual so I will remember this. The number of homosexuals and gay rights supporters do not make up a small percentage. If they did, this wouldn't have happened today.
-
Edited by Masshole: 6/26/2015 5:59:42 PMGay rights supporters aren't affected by it, unless they start swinging for the same team. Women getting the right to vote; that's historic. Legalization of gay marriage; nah, dude.
-
If you spend years and years supporting something and striving for it to happen, and then it does. You won't forget it.
-
For you, this is huge. For most others, no impact...at all.
-
Well it seems to impact you right here, you seem to have a lot to say about it.
-
All I've said is that this ruling isn't historic and won't be memoralized, then I backed it up with simple facts.
-
Mate, you are definitely wrong, it actually is historic. Just let it go. Have yourself a beer (if you're old enough) and blast some Fallen
-
That's because people keep trying debate me about something that isn't worth their time.
-
For you, this is huge. For most others, no impact...at all.
-
Then your original comment stating that this will be forgotten within weeks is incorrect. This is huge to more than just me. Have a nice day
-
Quite frankly, a few years into your marriage, it'll seem normal and it won't be so huge anymore, so he kinda has a point.
-
I don't believe so. I spent most of my teenage years in the Bible Belt of Texas where you hear gay marriage compared to marrying animals everyday. When you spend so long living in an area where it's normal to hear your "friends" and their parents talking about how wrong gay marriage is and how messed up and wrong homosexuals are, it really does mean a lot that what happened today actually happened and it's not something I'll forget.
-
You're the reason people feel animosity towards gay ppl.
-
If you feel animosity towards an entire population because of one persons opinion, then I really don't want to talk to you.
-
Well done Carly, don't let these asshats take away your great day!!
-
Thank you! :)
-
Did I say I did? This is what I mean. Lol My room mate is gay and he's annoyed with it. He just said "I'm sick of the f@gs getting all loud n screamy about it." He doesn't even believe in gay marriage. Which is weird. I do. But he's proof you can be gay without being a f@ggot.
-
I think you mean, he's a straight-acting gay guy, and not camp?
-
So I can't be happy about the supreme courts ruling today because your roommate doesn't care and if I do, I'm a fggt? Lol okay

Edited by Masshole: 6/26/2015 6:22:33 PMFor the vast of majority of the United States (I'm talking well into the 95% or even more), people will forget so easily, unless brought up again and again by people who overreact.
