Can you give a reason?
-
Different activities have different loot tables for a reason. & RNG is also implemented for a reason, for a grind. so if players want a Word of Crota, players must complete a Crota HM. that's how it's supposed to be. someone shouldn't be able to just jump into the tower & get awesome gear thru some trading system. They should level up the intended way & complete the activities that correspond w. The gear they want. that's literally the entire point of Destiny, & all other games like it. To collect the gear, to run thru all the content to acquire all of it. not for someone to give it to someone else every weekend. my friend hits 20, I shouldn't be able to throw a gjallarhorn at him just Cus. Or anyone else either. sweet drops are half this game. finally getting the thing you've been playing to get. having lame hand outs like this would suck. Anonymous or not. it would make it boring, just like they said on the Reef reveal stream, it's cool & memorable telling someone how you got a weapon. The value is destroyed when you can say "so & so gave it to me". RNG is part of destiny. Grinding activities to get certain gear is the reasoning behind playing those activities. just like most people don't run shit after they've already done it once on a character for the week. Bungie knows that too. It would cause a lot of down time in the game for a lot of people. I'm glad I am not the only player who feels this way though. The majority of the community does, so I'm not worried. I'm confident trading will never be implemented, thankfully. Completing activities would be obsolete when you could just go to the tower on the weekend & checkout who's trying to trade what. or even worse, if I could just send my buddy a gjallarhorn for some piece of exotic armor he got from a random nightfall reward or something. Trading would defeat half the purpose of destiny as a whole.

Guess what? You didn't read my post.
-
care to elaborate?
-
You mentioned giving a friend a jellyhorn, my idea wouldn't allow that. There was something else but I can't find it.

Edited by Youre Lightwork: 6/26/2015 1:23:00 AMso then read harder. Nothing's been edited, but here's where YOU didn't read my post. swiftly after, I stated, "& neither should anybody else ". I also threw in "anonymous not". just because this way wouldn't allow me personally to be able to hand my friend a gjallarhorn, doesn't stop me from being able to hand someone else a gjallarhorn. You're missing the point that whether it's "anonymous" or not, there's literally no way around the fact that it's handing out gear for nothing. & how do you make it anonymous? throw it up for an auction or something? it really doesn't matter because luckily we will never have these kind of ridiculous thoughts floating around the realm of actual devs. Thankfully enough. Trading will always be a "shoulda, woulda, coulda" style topic on these forums. & I couldn't be happier. Once you step up from a kinder guardian you will recognize this also. I can only assume you have no good gear for yourself, & that is why you want to implement trading. Nobody wants that dumb shit except for new players who don't wanna grind.
-
You still haven't read mine, there is no handout (which are your own words) you are trading your exotic weapon for someone else's. Making it anonymous is quite simple; as I've said to others all it would need to be is a vendor that only let's you put what you want and what you'll give, nothing else.

this is the second time you're accusing me of not having read your post. yet, this is also the second time if you'd of thoroughly read mine, you'd realize that I said I shouldn't be able to hand my gjallarhorn out to someone else for some random exotic they may have gotten from wherever. there will always be someone looking for that one exotic they need. & vice versa. your first exotic may be a Hawkmoon. There will always be somebody who wants a Hawkmoon, that is willing to trade for it. You get your first exotic, it doesn't matter what it is, there will always be somebody, somewhere, that's looking for that exotic. & vice versa. So you can just put that up, & anybody can go make that trade. thats a pretty solid idea of a hand out to me. So because some dude gets lucky at 25 w. a suros, he then has the ability to get any exotic he wants for that? of his choice? He can just throw it up, & anybody can go along & decide that's a fair trade & take it. That would wreck destiny. It would suck. everyone's got doubles now. so many people have had doubles, triples, quads of shit. it would just be a cesspool. Eliminating the need for a grind...no matter how you wanna look at it, anonymous/vendors/non-anonymous/micro-transactions, that shit ruins video games. & trading, would annihilate this one into the ground.

You ate still claiming to of read my post, so if you truly read it; Where did I talk about a cookie? And under what circumstance. No looking.

the denial is sooooo real
-
So you just proved me right, there is a part about a cookie in it.

Edited by Youre Lightwork: 6/26/2015 4:37:59 AMis it that you actually can't mentally comprehend what I'm saying.? Or maybe you're dyslexic & can't read properly.? I'm just not understanding how a comment about trading would give people the chance to "share the love" w. Their Gjallarhorns has anything to do w. My comment. That's your validation for trading. you think it's fair for you to be able to trade any weapon you want, for any weapon you want of the same quality. that, is game breaking. & completely, utterly, in every single way possible defeats the purpose of playing the specific endgame content for specific loot. it makes having to run anything, completely pointless. that is a point that you cannot logically argue against, that's a fact. Something that cannot be disputed.

Edited by Astro4545: 6/26/2015 10:19:26 AMI love how you still haven't answered my question. And you do realize "sharing the love" is just a metaphor right? How about we talk about what you just said "trading weapons of the same quality" if these weapons are truly the same quality no one can complain about trading them. And guess what? You still need to get loot! Just because you can trade doesn't mean anyone will .
