In WoW, a single non combat pet/companion (gives zero benefit in-game) costs $10(US)... one item... Just sayin'...

WoW also has 10000 times the content that destiny has and will ever have. When they drop an expansion, it's worth the 60 bucks because the patches they put out for said expansion give you new items and gear and so on. $30 bucks for what will amount to five hours of game play is not worth it. At all but the fan boys don't see that.

Oh I agree completely. WoW had more content in vanilla than Destiny is ever likely to have. I'm just saying that, although on the steep side, $20 is not that bad of a price.. However I personally won't be buying it.

Perhaps, but in WoW's case, the item is available to all regardless. It's not tied to a special bundle that includes every previous expansion for $250. Nor was it extracted from said bundle and sold back separately for $50. Correct me if I'm wrong, but WoW moved away from their subscription-based membership, meaning these in-game transactions are their only extra source of income outside of disc sales.

Im pretty sure WoW is still a pay to play model, but i play alot of other MMO's that are free to play and pay to win, meaning almost everything is a microtransaction
