What does this say to me? It says that nobody reached out to Techland and said
If we work out a deal and I give you a bunch of money, can you create some extra content in your game that gives consumers more incentive to buy our product?
Any developer that turns that kind of deal down is a moron and to say otherwise is naive. Dying Light didn't get a deal like that because nobody gives a shit about Dying Light. It's not worth another companies time to invest in a marketing campaign that isn't going to produce enough ROI.
And that's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold said so.
I feel like it was a good joke and am glad that any developer/publisher took advantage of it. THQ would have been valid and they are out of business.
-
Meh, its more of a, oh goodie let me hop on this PR bandwagon and make my game relevant for a couple of days again.
-
Then to be fair they took advantage of a situation just like Bungie did.
-
That's fine, I'm not knocking them for that, but you and I both know Dying Light isn't anywhere near as successful as Destiny, so they can make fun all they want, but Bungie will just be laughing on their way to the bank to cash their checks. Techland can sit there and pretend like they're not in the business to make money, but they are, we all know that too, that's just how people market these days, by bashing their competition. Also, as far as I know, Destiny didn't have to bash their competition to be successful.
-
I never played it lol. Regardless I thought it was a good joke.
-
Neither have I, nor have I heard a single person talk about it, that to me means that it is not successful, and they are piggybacking off the PR shitstorm Bungie is feeling right now.
-
No emotes to throw money at then ;)

IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!
