No. I was pissed at first but seeing the massive overreaction of the community I feel kind of sorry for the guy. He gave a shitty interview. He is an art director right? He is not the money guy, the marketing guy, he doesn't make these kind of decisions.
I've been in his place before, trying to make people buy into unpopular decisions made by management. He handled it poorly, he is an art guy, he didn't set the policy but he is an employee and can't naysay the boss. I'm sure they stuffed him in a closet and he is embarrassed as hell for the negative publicity. He made a mistake by being frustrated. Have a heart.

But when you work for a company you have to mind your Ps ans Qs. Like it or not you are representative of the company even if you are the "money man" or not.

He didn't really create this shitstorm though. It was already boiling. It was the decisions made by the business end not by the creative end. This was the spark that set it off. But he never made the bad decisions, he just wasn't a paid slippery dodger like DeeJ.

I agree completely. He was a abrasive as hell. I was really ticked until I put more thought into it. It sucks when management puts you in the position of defending them. I spent 20 years in the military and had to support shit decisions and enforce them too. I feel for the guy now. He didn't create this.
