Is it even possible in anyone's wildest dreams that this is part of some GENIUS plot by Bungie to so lower expectations and totally TICK EVERYONE OFF so much that they can come in with some mediocre save and make everyone happy?
I think not - this is a mammoth CLUSTER FOXTROT of PR campaigns...

...Hence the "...they'll get something better" comment by Deej? WTFRAK else can they give the loyal/Day 1 players - XB Live for a year??? What? Some special pack of gear that noone else gets?? Pick of your favorite exotic - or a trading system between players??? I mean honestly - what else is there? And IF there really was something else "better" for the loyal prior gamers, why not just announce all of that stuff TOGETHER with this pricing structure so as to avoid this entire PR CLUSTER FOXTROT!?!?!?! Makes no sense - the only thing that makes sense is that Bungie is not thinking longterm about their game base/stakeholders/people who keep them in business.
