Approximately 2-5 days after TDB launched (Dec 9?). I was too lazy to level it and I decided to do so now cause I finally got a group to do the raid on Hard Mode after not being interested in destiny since Christmas (when I got my XBONE). Im doubtful an old Husk would be the reason for me not being able to acquire an orb. Even if I put the husk in the vault the orb is still missing from Eris' Inventory. Im still rather clueless as to how I go bout fixing this issue.

Ah darn. Sorry to mislead you, I've been farming for it for a few days now and I was looking for a bit of hope that I could still get it :( Hope your problem gets fixed soon!
