It just doesn't work with destiny. Don't get me wrong it's amazing artwork but it's too warfram-ish.

I think to be honest, it does fit in with the theme of Destiny. This character has the aesthetics of a Hive character, as well as the base colour schemes, the ripped and cracked skin covering bone. Take a look at actual Destiny developer concept art.

He's too unique and Im not used to that in destiny. What about more knight or even wizard aesthetics thrown in there to make it more relatable to the game.

Ummm...is this sarcasm? Haha forgive me, someone else has said similar things about my art. I appreciate your comment, but I would say that because this is my own concept I have artistic license to explore the aesthetic further and develop what is already apparent in Destiny. Take a look at Eris, she has Hive elements to her design but in isolation she doesn't really fit with Destiny, in the same way you describe my design. The process in designing for videogames is to focus on repositories of assets that can be reused wherever possible. As you probably know, concept art aims to explore and expand on the current aesthetic or pallette of characters, to create something that is firstly unique to the eye and from a narrative sense, introduce something new. In Destiny, how this translates are simple skin changes to debate a different House or Faction, which is true for Vex, Hive and Fallen. Look at Oryx...he has a huge pair of wings now, none of the original and familiar Hive characters have wings. Is this unfamiliar and wrong? No. It's retaining the aesthetic of the Hive whilst introducing a new design element which helps to set Oryx put as being more powerful and compounds the fact that he is a Hive god. I hope you appreciate my thoughts on this. I enjoy a good discussion on the art of Destiny.
