True on thorn. True on tlw but not completely... fix the ads bug and it will turn into a three or four shot most times. Maybe take away some more range.
TTK is still 0.4 when hipfiring bodyshots..... It's insanely quick.... Quick enough to kill a Pulse Rifle user before he has time to ADS and finish his 1st burst. It has way more range than the stats say too.
I just don't think having 1 or 2 guns kill twice, or three timers as fast as everything else is balanced at all. Most PvPers have realised this, hence why all you see good players use are these two. Because, well why use anything else?
I personally believe that the TTK should never go much less than a second. Some variations to account for ease of use/perks/procs etc, but not consistently twice as quick to kill as everything else.
I understand that TLW is the only counter to shotguns atm (Which are super broken) but that and Thorn ruin the game for anyone using anything else. (Or trying to)
Just my opinion anyways.
I agree with you that in a shield/health game ttk shouldnt be that low.
Thorn is a problem yes. It combines stats no other primary has and dot on top of that. There is need for rebalancing.
But dont rely on ttk to much when speaking of tlw. Hipfire crits are not easy. Its the ads bug thats breaks that gun. And of course it has more range than anyone would expect. Without the bug it would fit the intended role of a close range shredder.
Winning mid range fights with that thing isnt easy.
Shotguns are fine. Its the map design with all the close quarters that makes them overused and op
