If you feel like you have some form of social anxiety that is preventing you from taking initiative and talking to people I suggest a psychiatrist or some form of therapy. I had a mate that was in your position, and I came flat out and told him that he needed to see someone professional about his predicament and in a few weeks it really helped him to get started. Best of luck ;)

Edited by WhackedSpy9562: 6/19/2015 6:18:30 AMI've wanted to talk to a psychiatrist or therapist for so long. But I don't want my family to know about it, so I can't.. Thank you for your advice though.

If you don't mind me asking; is there any reason you don't want your family to know about it other than the "typical" (for lack of a better word) feelings of shame and such? Family are there to help you and get your life started so you can live the best one possible.

I've always done things on my own. I practically raised myself. I've never felt that I could rely on my parents for even small things. And I feel like my family would just think badly of me for it.
