Pre-order cancelled.
I'm unfortunately going to have to cancel my pre-order for The Taken King. I can not condone these types of business practices from such an esteemed company.
This is just as bad as having to buy the same game 2-3 times from different stores to unlock all the exclusive real life vendor dlc. I have to buy the game a second time so I can have a cool sparrow that I'll barely be able to see due to my character obscuring it, an exotic class armor piece that increases xp that I'll never be able to use because I need to rank up my factions, and emblems? How can you give out emblems to players? It was bad enough when you gave out emblems to people for being on bungie.net for way too long, now you give it out exclusively to new players and only give us some measly loyalty emblem?
I can't tolerate this any longer, I'm going to have to go play TESO instead where I can buy a horse for 25 dollars.

Believe me they are excellent servers, up to 300 players can be playing PVP, maybe more for PVE. Also you buy a horse for $7.99 so I don't see why you are trying to make it look that bad. For all those who think you actually need $25..lol.

Problem is, majority of people bought the original game and DLC's together. I played HOW because I bought the expansion packs last year and there lies a massive reason as to why Bungies numbers have remained stable. All these post saying 'do you think Bungie care?' I bet when a big chunk of the community decide not to renew there relationship with Bungie they will. About 50% of ttk I've seen is the same tiresome levels which again have been slightly adapted. Get -blam!-ed if you think i'm paying £40 for that. See ya fanboys.

agreed. i would say its not a very smart business decision to make a built in player base angry along with pricing something this way when your product is releasing around the same time as some other great games that will be competing for players. Releasing this expansion during the summer when there is fairly few new(decent) games releasing,this would have been an easier decision for most to spend the money. With so many good games releasing in the september to holiday timeframe,its going to be real easy for alot of people to move onto a new game. Bungie! you really are going to need to do something good to keep alot of these players around and entice new players to choose this game over the others that will be coming out at around the same time.
